How to apply for Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance!

26th June 2009

Following recent calls to Mary Wallace TD’s office on how to apply for the back to school clothing and footwear allowance Deputy Wallace would like to advise eligible families on how to apply for this allowance.

The Back to school clothing and footware allowance scheme is open from 1st June to 30th September. To apply you will need to fill out a Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance form (pdf). Forms can be downloaded from Mary Wallace TD website (www.marywallace.ie) or can be downloaded from the Department of Social and Family Affairs website. Forms are also available from your local community Welfare Officer.

Please note this form should be returned to your local Community Welfare Officer.

Deputy Wallace stated “Payment may take up to 6 weeks so I would urge parents who qualify apply for this allowance sooner rather than later”
