Meath Farmers benefit by 27.8M under the Farm Waste Management Scheme

Meath farmers have benefited from over €27.8 million under the Farm Waste Management Scheme according to Mary Wallace TD.
The Farm Waste Management Scheme is the largest and most successful on-farm investment scheme in the history of the State and is a clear indication of the Government’s commitment to Irish agriculture and the rural economy. Meath farmers benefited with grants over €27.8 million since its inception in 2006.”
Following the payment this month of €190 million in respect of the second tranche of grant payments of 40%, over €1 billion has now been paid out since the Scheme’s inception in 2006.
“I am pleased that so many Meath farmers were able to avail of the Scheme and the generous grant aid of up to 70% in some cases was of real assistance.” concluded Deputy Wallace
