Cuairt Mary Wallace ar Gaelscoil na Ríthe / Mary Wallace's visit to Gaelscoil na Ríthe

Chuir Rang 5 agus Múinteoir Fionnuala an-fháilte roimh Mary Wallace, Aire Stáit ag An Roinn Talmhaíochta agus Bia, nuair a bhronn sí póstaeir ag fógairt Seachtain Náisiúnta na gCrann 2007 inniu 2ú Márta 2007. Léigh Diarmuid Mac Críosta alt an-shuimiúil faoi stair na gcrann in Éirinn agus labhair Mary Wallace as Gaeilge agus as Béarla leis an rang. Thug sí tasc an-mhaith dóibh ar fad. Caithfidh siad ainm chrann dúchasach amháin atá le feiceáil idir an baile agus an scoil a ainmniú don chéad lá eile ar scoil. Dúirt an Príomhoide Breandán go raibh sé go hiontach póstaeir álainn ildaite dhátheangach a fháil do gach rang sa scoil. Tá sé i gceist ag muintir na scoile cur le lion na gcrann dhúchasacha i rith na seachtaine seo chugainn.

5th Class at Gaelscoil na Ríthe, Dunshaughlin, and their Múinteoir Fionnuala gave a warm welcome to Mary Wallace, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, when she presented posters to the school in preparation for National Tree Week 2007 today 2nd March 2007. Diarmuid Mac Críosta read, in Irish, the interesting summary on the poster of the history of our native trees and Mary Wallace spoke in both Irish and English to the class. She gave them the excellent task of returning to school next week with the name of at least one native tree that they find between home and the school. Breandán, the Principal, was delighted to be presented with such colourful, bilingual posters for every class in the school. The school intends to hold planting ceremonies next week to add to the number of native trees on the school site.
