Oireachtas Parlimentary

Fellowship award


The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission have invited applications for the 2010-2011 Oireachtas Parliamentary Fellowship says Mary Wallace TD.

The fellowship is awarded on an annual basis to a student who has completed or are undertaking research in the area of Irish politics and history, Irish parliamentary affairs, parliamentary procedure and other subjects related to or relevant to the Irish parliamentary tradition.

The Oireachtas Parlimentary Fellowship is designed to advance the study of, and contribute to scholarship on the Houses of the Oireachtas. Prospective Fellows will apply to undertake and compete the fellowship for a period of 12 months commencing in Autumn 2010.

The fellowship award is €18,000.

Closing date for applications is 5:30pm Friday 4th June 2010.

Note to the Editor

In 2009 the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission launched the Oireachtas Parliamentary Fellowship as part of the anniversary celebrations to mark the 90th year since the first meeting of Dail Eireann.
