Minister Mary Wallace welcomes announcement of over €37million for Meath Roads in 2008

Meath East TD Mary Wallace today welcomed the announcement and details of the Government’s €1.68 billion investment in the National Roads Programme for 2008 and specifically the €37,451 million allocation for Meath. The overall allocation represents an average investment of €140 million per month in Ireland’s national roads.

Speaking today about the €37,451 million investment for Meath roads, Minister Wallace, said:  “This investment shows commitment to progressing projects that will enhance the quality of life for people in Meath, connect our communities and underpin our prosperity.  The funding allocated for 2008 will allow for more new and better roads that will help road-users go about their daily lives in a more efficient way”

Mary Wallace was particularly pleased with the funding dedicated to the construction of the new M3 Motorway from Clonee to North of Kells and the ongoing improvements on the N2 particularly in the Ashbourne area including Primatestown and Coolfore to Kilmoon.
