Post Christmas Finance Concerns
Mary Wallace TD reminds people who find themselves in financial difficulty after Christmas of the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) available to them for advice and assistance.
The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is a free and confidential service for people in Ireland with debt problems and money management problems. There are 52 MABS offices in Ireland, staffed by trained Money Advisers. The MABS office in Meath is located at

The MABS service is free and you will not have to pay for any advice, assistance or information. All contact with MABS is in strictest confidence.
People can contact MABS directly by phone, letter or by calling in person. Alternatively, you could contact your local Citizens Information Centre and ask them to make an appointment for you. There are Citizens Information Centres throughout Meath. Our local Centres are as follows:

Minister Wallace said “Christmas can be a huge financial strain on families and in January people are faced with the reality of how much they spent or borrowed over the Christmas period. I would encourage anyone who is experiencing difficulties with their financies to contact MABS or their local Citizens Information Centre for advice and assistance”
