Older people benefit from ‘Go For Life’ Grants - Wallace

28 groups for older people in Meath will share an allocation of €12,900 under the ninth Go for Life National Grant Scheme for Sport and Physical Activity for Older People confirms Mary Wallace TD.
The Go for Life national grant scheme aims to help local clubs and organisations to increase opportunities for their older members to actively participate in recreational sport and a range of physical activities.
Deputy Wallace stated “I am delighted that this funding is available to groups around Meath who promote sporting and physical activities. I am particularly pleased that groups in Dunboyne, Duleek/Bellewstown, Castletown, Ashbourne, Ratoath, Slane, Moynalty, and Kells have been allocated funding”.
“Any funding that goes towards enhancing the wellbeing of Older people in our society is especially welcomed and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the volunteers in these groups for their efforts in delivering the invaluable support to many older people in our community” She concluded
