Wallace delighted with additional posts
for 3 Meath National Schools
Three Meath National Schools are to be allocated an extra teaching post according to Mary Wallace TD.
Dunboyne Senior National School, Kilbride National School Clonee, and Scoil Mhichil Na Buachailli in Trim will benefit from additional teaching posts.
Deputy Wallace stated “The renewed Programme for Government includes a commitment to allocate 200 posts between primary and post-primary levels in the current school year. Following consultants with the education partners 100 of these posts are being allocated at primary level”.
“These posts will be allocated to primary schools that had increased enrolments in the current school year and who, as a result of last year’s PTR change, lost out on a teaching post in the current school year by either 1,2 or 3 pupils”.
“I am delighted that three Meath Schools will benefit from extra teaching posts. We all know how important it is that school children get the best education and I am pleased the children in these schools will benefit from this announcement”. Deputy Wallace concluded.
