Wallace delighted with Lottery Sports Funding
Minister of State Mary Wallace has expressed her absolute delight for so many sporting clubs that obtained lottery funding this year and who have received excellent news this week for the development of their club.
Grants have been awarded to the following clubs - Curragha GAA Club €240,000; Ratoath Harps Football Club €240,000; Ashbourne Rugby Football Club €200,000; Ratoath GAA Club €200,000; St. Peter's GAA Club, Dunboyne €120,000; Simonstown Gaels GAA Sports & Community Centre €120,000; Bective GAA Club €100,000; Cloghertown United €100,000; Kiltale Hurling and Camogie Club €100,000; Meath and District League €70,000; St. Colmcille's GAA Club €65,000; Donaghmore Ashbourne CLG €60,000; Castletown GFC €40,000; Dunboyne Athletic Club €30,000; Drumconrath GFC €20,000; Dunshaughlin Pitch & Putt Club €5,500 and Summerhill Archery Club €1,000.
"We have been successful in attracting national sports funding into the area and our thanks to the wonderful club committees and members who worked with us in preparing applications to secure much needed funding supporting the wonderful work of so many volunteers to provide sport and recreational facilities in our area," said Minister Wallace.
Minister Wallace continued by saying that clubs that have not yet applied for funding or received grant aid are welcome to work through the procedure with her office.
"We are very happy to advise clubs throughout the year," said Minister Wallace.
