Wallace reminds families on the services of MABS
Minister Mary Wallace TD urges families who are anxious about finances in the run up to their child’s First Holy Communion or Confirmation to seek and get advice and support from the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS)
Minister Wallace said “A confirmation or a First Holy Communion ceremony is a very special day for the child, parents, grandparents, families and friends. However, the pressure of trying to make this day special for the child can lead to a lot of stress on parents. It is very sad if your child’s First Communion or Confirmation day results in a heavy financial burden for the family. I would encourage anyone who is experiencing difficulties with their finances to contact MABS or their local Citizens Information Centre for advice and assistance”
