Wallace seeks Park & Ride for Ratoath
Ratoath TD and Minister of State Mary Wallace has had ongoing meetings with Bus Eireann to improve the bus service for Ratoath.
At a recent meeting with Bus Eireann, Minister Wallace can confirm that a proposed Park & Ride facility for Ratoath was discussed
Currently Bus Eireann are examining the suitability of a couple of proposed sites in Ratoath for use as a Park & Ride facility.
Minister Wallace said “This would be a fantastic service for city-commuters who would be able to park their car at a Park & Ride facility in Ratoath and then continue their journey using the on-site buses. This service would allow employees, visitors and shoppers to travel straight into the heart of the city without the hassle of searching for parking spaces and it would also alleviate existing parking problems in the village.
Councillor Nick Killian who works everyday in Main Street Ratoath says that people would be delighted with a designated Park & Ride facility and that it would definitely alleviate the parking situation in the village.
