Wallace welcomes measures to control flooding in Kilmoon
Meath East TD Mary Wallace was contacted by a number of residents in Kilmoon who have been severely affected by flooding problems.
Residents were concerned that following heavy rain the drains overflowed which resulted in the flooding of their front and back gardens.
Minister Wallace contacted Meath County Council which resulted in an Executive Engineer meeting with the residents involved on the 28th March, 2008.
At this meeting it was agreed that the concerning verge would be cleared and the drainage pipes cleared out. This work is expected to commence shortly.
Meath County Council has informed Minister Wallace that they will assess the situation further after the work has been completed.
Minister Wallace will continue to follow up on this very important matter for residents in Kilmoon.
